Future Makers is a year-round programme of creative activities for young people (11-19) bringing them together with artists and writers to collaborate using theatre, music, dance, spoken word. It gives young people space and skills to express themselves, build confidence and ambition, and have fun!

Situation
Involvement with the arts unlocks lifelong benefits helping young people realise their potential and raise ambition, but opportunities are increasingly hard to access due to cost, funding cuts and the lack of local, accessible offers. Young people from marginalised backgrounds are hardest hit by these barriers and are being increasingly locked out from the kind of regular, high-quality creative activities that can enrich and transform lives.
Solution
Through Future Makers, we work with young people facing barriers to participation. We offer creative activities so they can connect, collaborate, build skills, meet and work with artists and have space and time to express themselves. Future Makers is free for young people to access and takes place in the heart of the communities where we work. “..an unforgettable experience that has truly changed my life. Every session I would be so excited to expand my mind & learn.” Young Future Maker
