Our project will address inequalities in provision of, and access to, cultural engagement around the LPO’s long standing residencies in Brighton and Eastbourne. People and communities thrive when they are engaged with culture and music because of the benefits this brings, improving their skills, their well-being, and their health. It enriches the fabric of local communities by encouraging sociable behavior, bringing communities together and increasing civic pride.

Working collaboratively with local organisations we will build sustainable, authentic partnerships at grassroots level to create and deliver projects in 2024 that meet the needs of the local communities. Combining the expertise of the LPO with the local understanding of partner organisations to deliver meaningful musical interventions. Activities include performances in community venues, workshops and concerts for local school children and hands on music-making experiences with LPO musicians.
