The National Churches Trust supports churches and chapels across the UK--large and small, rural and urban, listed and unlisted. We are a heritage charity and provide grants for building work and fabric repairs. Our goal is to keep churches open and in use. This appeal will save 18 key churches.

We are giving money for urgent repairs for historic churches and congregations in desperate need of help. Many of these run food banks and refuges--all are central to their communities.

We have a 205 year history building and repairing churches in the UK. In those two centuries around half of the 39,000 churches and chapels in the country will have benefited from our help. In the last year, we gave money to around 250 buildings for repairs and the installation of modern facilities. Our grants committee is made of experts and weighs up social good, need, and architectural value.
