We're raising money to support Creative Wellbeing sessions in the Forest of Dean. The friendly and welcoming sessions use craft activities as a vehicle for promoting a mindful approach and offer a nurturing space to try new things, build confidence, chat to others and make friends.

Consultation activities have indicated that access to creativity is more difficult for people living in the Forest of Dean than in other areas of Gloucestershire. We lack an arts centre or cultural hub; communities are spread out between small towns and villages and transport links are poor. Many other complex and layered issues resulting from both the lockdown restrictions and peoples’ perceptions of ‘the arts’ limit their access to enjoying what is on offer here.

Wyldwood designs and delivers projects that bring people and communities together to connect with arts, culture & creativity. Our work creates opportunities for people to engage in creative activities that build social connections, improve health & wellbeing and reduce loneliness & isolation. We offer supported routes into arts/creative projects and activity, often taking it directly to the heart of communities and meeting groups where they are.
