Each year the number of people visiting the big mountains is increasing. Sadly some of these groups leave behind significant amounts of waste. This project aims to remove and recycle as much as possible, whilst raising awareness and engagement of this threat to the mountain environment.

Situation
Removal of the waste from the mountain will reduce the amount of pollutants being washed into rivers by rainfall and snowmelt, contaminating water supplies for local populations. The removal of old and discarded ropes will ensure safety for all on the mountain. The awareness generated form this work will increase the awareness and motivation to seek a sustainable long term solution.
Solution
What goes up must come down! We have local experienced teams that will be paired with associated regional recycling initiatives. Waste will be collected, categorised and removed. As much as possible will be recycled. We will be working with commercial partners to drive awareness, support and engagement with the topic to seek a sustainable solution that makes everyone visiting the environment part of the solution, not the problem.
