Help us support hundreds of Cornwall's most vulnerable children and young people whom find themselves facing trauma from domestic abuse, physical/learning disabilities, poverty, severe mental health conditions and more. Our Brighter Futures fund will enable them to access life-changing programmes.

The picture-perfect rurality of Cornwall hides disturbing evidence of ingrained poverty and disadvantage that can have a life-limiting impact on children and young people. At BF Adventure we work with ~ 5,000 children and young people each year, of whom 500 live with multiple disadvantages including poverty and social isolation. Over 200 of this group receive our specialist long term support with learning and/or physical disabilities, behavioural challenges, mental ill health and other issues.

We use trauma-informed youth work in the outdoors to equip our young people with vital life skills, confidence and resilience, whilst also focusing on having fun. We use our 60 acre site and a range of outdoor educational activities and sports to enable them to identify their own social/emotional/physical barriers and choose their own challenges to overcome these barriers and unlock their potential. We help them to identify their strengths, discover new passions and build positive relationships.
