There is a clear lack of appropriate support for people with a learning disability or autism to learn and develop work-based skills, that will support people into paid employment. We seek to deliver this for local people. We provide a welcoming space to everyone in the community, where there is always someone to talk to and something get involved in, which reduces the barriers some people have to social interaction. People who do not have funding for a support worker can access help at Buddys.

We deliver a 6 month long work-based training programme in the coffee shop for people with a learning disability/ autism who are referred to us from the local job centre, supported employment services and education centres. We reduce the social isolation of people by offering a welcoming, warm space for people to access, with a wide range of activities and opportunities for people to engage in.
