Situation
The arts should be accessible to all but so often they aren’t. It’s estimated 9 million people in the UK are deaf or hard of hearing and 2 million live with sight loss. This means one in six of us rely on captions, hearing loops, and/or audio descriptions to experience the joy of the performing arts. As the UK’s leading independent festival of live performance, we want to ensure everyone is able to access the work of the diverse and exceptional emerging talent we champion and foster.
Solution
VAULT London will establish a permanent home for our work: a new & ambitious alternative arts centre for London. VAULT London is the evolution of VAULT Festival's successes over 11+ years, championing form-breaking work from early career diverse artists. Through your investment, we will install captioning, hearing loop, & audio description systems in all of our spaces, securing our mission of offering affordable and truly accessible art to thousands of audiences in the heart of London.
