    Situation

Romsey Mill works with over 2,000 young people, children and families each year. Many of these people experience disadvantage and challenge in their lives, in one or more of various contexts, including: social and economic isolation; risk of being exploited; difficult family situations, risk of exposure to crime and criminal exploitation. These situations cause increased anxiety and impact mental health and wellbeing; potentially resulting in self-harm, increased isolation and vulnerability.

    Solution

Romsey Mill's has a community-based, relational and long-term approach to youth and family work. Our experienced team engages with young people, children and families in a range of settings (e.g. detached, open access and targeted sessions; 1:1 sessions) all focused on practical help and positive activities. Our needs-led, relational approach builds relationships of trust, enabling young people to grow in confidence and self-esteem, and develop coping strategies to help overcome challenge.
