We know how beneficial and vital cultural, arts, and creative centers are to people, communities, organisations, and society. People need connections—places to come together and explore, to grow and develop, to exchange ideas, and to hear from different voices. Hawkwood is a unique, sustainably managed estate set on 42 acres surrounded by woodland. As an arts charity, we support artists from all backgrounds and disciplines through our vibrant artist residency programme to create new work.
Hawkwood provides a peaceful, supportive environment to enable individuals to reach their potential and groups and organisations to grow and develop. As an independent creative center, Hawkwood is growing its reach and national significance with a rich programme of on-site and online courses, festivals, and events covering the areas of arts, sustainability, leadership, and wellbeing, as well as our residency program for artists and those with ideas to better society and protect our planet.
