Social isolation is a devastating and sadly all too common problem for people with learning disabilities. Many of our beneficiaries can struggle to find a place in their community due to a lack of specialist support. Research suggests that one in three young people with a learning disability spends less than one hour outside their home on a typical Saturday (Mencap, 2019). This can lead to loneliness and a lack of social connections, which can affect mental health and wellbeing.

We provide activities and experiences that people with learning disabilities might not otherwise be able to access without the expert support of our specially trained staff. Our groups help people engage with their community and build relationships through practical and enjoyable learning experiences. Our team brings to life the LinkAble belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in meaningful activities, regardless of their needs.
