This campaign has now closed
Over 210,000 badgers have been killed in the last decade through the badger cull, around half of the estimated population. Our End the Badger Cull campaign will help Badger Trust make the case for ending the badger cull through research, collaboration, partnership and engagement.

Situation
The English Badger Cull has placed badger populations at risk with parts of the country now facing local extinction events. The destruction of native badgers is unjustified and a national wildlife tragedy. Badgers are ecosystem engineers and their presence in their native range provides many benefits to other species and biodiversity at large. By Ending the Cull we will be saving our most iconic British mammal, as well as focusing effective bTB eradication measures back onto cattle.
Solution
Badger Trust exists to promote and enhance the welfare, conservation and protection of badgers, their setts, and their habitats. We are the leading voice for badgers in England and Wales, with a network of around 50 local voluntary badger groups, and supported by thousands of supporters and followers. This project will fund the research, collaboration, partnerships and awareness raising needed to bring a change in policy and end the cull.
