Each year, over 5,000 greyhounds need to find homes after being cast aside by the racing industry. This huge number means that many are abandoned, killed or exported to countries with poor welfare standards. Many of the greyhounds who survive and make it to the end of their careers, carry with them scars from the industry. Track accidents, poor welfare and treatment will often lead to dogs who are physically injured, anxious or shut down. Greyhounds need us as a trusted route to safety.

Forever Hounds Trust offers a crucial lifeline to greyhounds. This project will fund the rescue of ex-racing greyhounds, giving them the chance to adjust to life beyond the track, the life they deserve. We provide routine and emergency veterinary care, behavioural assessment, as well as helping each hound adjust to life in their new home. Where we do not have space in our kennels, we work in partnership with rescues to ensure greyhounds reach a place of safety, and we transport them there.
