Beneficiaries
Young people living with the daily grind of poverty, exacerbated by the current cost of living crisis and experiencing multiple challenges, with limited access to fun, engaging and safe activities outside school that others may take for granted. This results in increasing numbers of vulnerable young people developing personal and emotional difficulties, impacting their futures, leading to a downward spiral underachievement and unfulfilled potential, and for far too many, the point of no return.
By providing a qualitative, interactive, participative and enjoyable overnight residential breaks at exciting outdoor activity venues and the coast (e.g., Mersea Island Essex, Wales and the Lake District) with a fun, engaging and exciting programme of activities on offer (e.g., climbing/abseiling, high-ropes, assault courses, archery, sailing, swimming, crafting, orienteering and scenic walks, bushcraft skills and nature trails) to broaden horizons and aid the personal development of each child.
