We're an innovative charity supporting people with dementia. We help them stay active, and live life to the full! We also provide information, advice and emotional support to their families/carers. We help people across Manchester, bringing them out to social groups and taking them on day trips.

People with dementia and their carers receive little practical support. They have to deal with a difficult illness, often by themselves, isolated at home. Social Isolation is bad for our health so people with dementia often deteriorate quickly if they are not given stimulation, encouragement and friendship. They also can't access activities in the community due to lack of transport. We run groups from Monday-Saturday, providing minibus transport, and assistance from our friendly drivers.

We currently have one accessible minibus to pick up our members with dementia. However, we need a second minibus to meet the growing demand for our service. This minibus will have a wheelchair lift as some of our older members can't climb the steps and some need to use a wheelchair when we take them to the seaside or countryside. Carers tell us that our service is a lifeline, giving the people with dementia something to look forward to. It also gives carers a break when the person goes out.
