1 in 4 people will suffer from some sort of mental health difficulty in any one year. Moreover, local data shows that 21% of Bristol residents have below average mental wellbeing. This is particularly prominent in disadvantaged areas, and can lead to social exclusion and unemployment. Poor mental health can also lead to poor physical health and can affect relationships. For some it can debilitate daily life.

We provide a free and accessible support network with as few barriers as possible. There is no need for referral, no waiting list for the groups and people can access support for as long as they feel necessary. The peer support groups enable people to learn from others with lived experience, alleviate mental distress, reduce social isolation, increase self-esteem and make positive changes in their lives. They are empathetic, confidential and safe spaces to improve mental health.
