Smart Works exists to break the cycle of unemployment for women in disadvantaged circumstances, empowering them to reconnect with their potential. Facing a cost-of-living crisis, female employment has been devastatingly impacted and marginalised women have been disproportionately affected, resulting in a lack of confidence and self-belief. There are more women across Greater Manchester who need our help to secure a job so they can start a new chapter of financial stability and independence.
Solution
Our transformative service equips every woman that walks through our doors with the confidence to overcome barriers to success. Each client benefits from a bespoke dressing consultation, a high-quality interview outfit (free, hers to keep) and one-to-one coaching. 69% get the job within a month and over 90% feel more confident about succeeding in their interview. Operating across centres in Manchester and Stockport, our mission is that every woman in Greater Manchester can access our service.
