The fallout of the pandemic and cost of living crisis has led to an increase in dogs in need of rescue. Dog pounds are full and more dogs are being put to sleep than ever and families have nowhere to turn when they run out of options for their dogs.

The increase of dog breeding and purchases during the pandemic coupled with the cost of living crisis has led to pounds and kill shelters across England to be filled with abandoned dogs. Bosnian communities are also suffering with similar issues and the dogs are paying the price. We are contacted on a daily basis to help dogs that will be put to sleep without rescue spaces in dog pounds and by families that can't keep them. In order to help these dogs and their families, funding is a must.

We aim to rescue 100 dogs in 2024 but each dog costs between £350-£800 to rescue depending on where they are rescued from and their medical needs. This will ease the situation in pounds across England, kill shelters in Bosnia and in the homes of people in our local community. By giving these dogs a solution and a safe space to live, we are literally saving their lives and helping to minimise the 'rescue crisis' that we are all currently facing.
