From floods and fires, major incidents to acts of terror, UK disasters can change people’s lives in an instant. With your support the National Emergencies Trust can be there for survivors and their loved ones in their time of need. Together we can help them to recover and rebuild their lives.

National emergencies can occur within minutes but leave behind physical and psychological impacts that last a lifetime. From the Manchester Arena attack to the Grenfell Tower fire, UK emergency survivors tell us the complex needs they face are often overlooked. Those affected experience unique trauma, and their mental health needs should be prioritised. However, survivors have often struggled to access timely and appropriate services in the immediate and longer-term.

National Emergencies Trust exists to make life better for UK disaster survivors. When the worst happens, we launch a nationwide fundraising appeal for survivors and their families and collaborate with other charities to share funds out fast and fairly. We work with survivors of past emergencies to improve access to mental health support following disasters and are currently formalising relationships with the UK Trauma Council, Centre for Collective Trauma, Mind and other specialist agencies.
