26% of PDA children and 46% of PDA adults have had suicidal thoughts this year. It doesn’t need to be this way. Please donate so PDA people & their families can continue to get information about what helps, alongside practical & emotional support to make safer, happier lives possible.

PDA autistic people have a fear response to real or perceived demands. Fear has a devastating impact on mental health. 70% of PDA people needed mental health support last year. The PDA profile of autism is often misunderstood. As a result PDA people often experience people using strategies that hurt rather than help them. Trustworthy information, support and training for everyone in a PDA person’s life about approaches that are helpful can be transformational for their happiness and wellbeing.

The PDA Society is the only specialist PDA charity in the UK. We help everyone in a PDA person's life understand PDA and what can help PDA people live happier, safer lives. This year a million people will access trusted information through our website. 4500 people will get peer support or training from a person with lived experience of PDA. People tell us they feel less isolated & better informed after contact with us, & that PDA people experience less stress when helpful approaches are used.
