Young people who've grown up in care are sadly highly likely to be negatively impacted by a childhood marred by abuse and neglect. They are four times more likely to have a mental disorder than children living with their birth families and make up nearly a third of the adult prison population. Drug and alcohol issues are prevalent as is homelessness and teenage pregnancy. 17% have 5GCSEs compared with 60% of the UK population and 41% are not in education, employment or training nationally.

Live Unlimited is here to support Barnet's care experienced young people as they navigate the complex and challenging road to adulthood. We do this by providing a range of schemes & opportunities designed to help develop new skills, boost employability chances, gain friends & improve their health & wellbeing. We take a holistic approach and recognise every person's experience of the care system is different. We support them as individuals with their own unique skills, dreams and aspirations.
