We are raising funds for projects where dogs play a vital role in enriching the lives of people - 'Dogs with Jobs'. Whether a medical support dog, former armed forces dog, dog belonging to a homeless person, emotional support dog and others, dogs who support their human companions need our help.

Situation
Dogs support humans in so many ways but it can be expensive to train and care for them in the long term. Examples include: - Medical Detection Dogs, Guide Dogs, Hearing Dogs: Training a dog to the level required to support their human effectively costs tens of thousands per dog. - Dogs belonging to homeless people: Sometimes the only friend a person feels they have. These dogs still need veterinary care so they can be there to support their owners
Solution
We work with a range of organisations delivering services, training and veterinary care to dogs working to support people. We want to raise funds through our Christmas Campaign to help these projects to continue to provide vital services. As an example, in the last year, we have helped the SSAFA's hostel for homeless veterans with dogs and also StreetVet, who provide veterinary care to dogs of homeless people. We will work with more organisations of this kind in 2024.
