Involvement in family history enables a wide range of people to connect in a virtual community, sharing information and stories for the benefit of all. The interest in family history has never been greater than it is now. But too often people face a financial barrier to pursuing their interest and reaping those benefits of connection. The result is less opportunity for individuals and communities.
Solution
Our services are free to access. Our strategy is to grow the number of our high quality records in our databases and provide maximum value to our users. This includes upgrading our services to meet the evolving needs of our users and volunteers. User feedback demonstrates our importance in allowing free access and interaction with others through transcription or research. We will evolve our technology, upgrading and improving usability, to ensure that family history remains the story of everyone
