Help support families in Bristol with essentials for babies and mums this winter. By providing basics such as toiletries, nappies, clothes, breastfeeding items, toys, books and a safe place to sleep for their baby, we can help ease the pressure of the cost-of-living this Christmas and in 2024.

1 in 5 children in Bristol live in income deprived families. Many families we support also face additional challenges including homelessness; domestic abuse; seeking refuge/asylum; mental health issues; are mums under 21. They need support with essential equipment and toiletries for their babies and young children. Referrals are increasing - last winter we received a record number, 76 families in one week. We support around 160 families per month, giving out over 1000 toiletry packs each year.

Working with over 400 local referral partners we provide families with pre-loved baby equipment such as; clothes, prams, cots, feeding aids and toys. Plus new items like nappies, maternity and breast pads and other toiletries. For example, £8000 could help provide 400 toiletry packs for mums and babies (approx £20 per pack). With your support, we can help keep children safe and well, ease the burden on families already struggling, and relieve some of the anxiety that comes with having a newborn.
