Situation
Freedom of association is a fundamental human right and an effective tool for change. But many garment producing countries and factories repress worker's rights through restrictive laws or outright union-busting actions, thereby limiting workers’ ability to take collective action and negotiate better working conditions.
Solution
Workers are the best advocates of their own rights, if given the freedom to organise themselves. We take our direction from workers and put their demands to brands and governments. Our strong links, focussed expertise and effective campaigning means we are well placed to to reduce the impact and vulnerabilities that garment workers face.
