Michael Sobell House needs gas to heat our Hospice and electricity to use equipment to ensure our patients are as comfortable as they can be during their stay. Help us with our spiralling gas and electricity costs whilst we support those in our community living with a serious or terminal illness.

Situation
At Michael Sobell House individuals come to stay with us or attend our wellbeing sessions to manage their illness and symptoms. Our team work hard to ensure people have the most comfortable and positive experience possible. To achieve this, we need gas to keep our patients warm and electricity to power the essential equipment we use to treat them. Just like for many of you, our gas and electricity bills have spiralled. Tripling in the last 3 years!
Solution
We completed a price comparison to confirm our rates are competitive and fitted meters in our Hospice building, to ensure accurate billing. Our staff will continue to ensure that our resources are used wisely by turning things off when not in use. And we have chosen to use The Big Give campaign as an effective tool to raise money to meet these increased costs whilst doubling our donors’ donations to make a bigger impact for the people we support.
