Raising funds for the ‘small grants pot’ to which CRED partners can apply for projects that enable children to access education and escape poverty. Our partners work in various countries with different sectors, but a common theme is increasing access to education. Big Give funds can support this.

    Situation

Education is a basic right, but for many children and young people, it remains a dream. Without education, climbing out of the poverty trap is almost impossible. Our partners know what is required in their communities and their context to help improve access to education and onwards to employment, whether for able-bodied, disabled, orphans, street kids or child-headed households. For them, access to even small amounts of funds can make a large difference. NB locations across Africa and Asia

    Solution

We have seen evidence of changes that our partners already make in individual lives; we know that they could replicate this with more funds. Thus we will create a ‘small-grants’ pot, to which our partners can apply for funds to help them activate / expand new or existing projects to improve and enable access to education for marginalised groups. Partners will be invited to apply for sums of £3000 or less, to help solve the educational access problem in innovative and contextually relevant ways
