The UK’s inequality is damaging all parts of our economy and society, while creating enormous profit for the rich and powerful. We can only solve our struggling economy and hurt communities by making our society more equal. We campaign nationally and locally to create a fair society for all.

Situation
The UK is a society that is divided through high, entrenched levels of socio-economic and intersectional structural inequalities. Everyone suffers from the consequences of high inequality, and those at the sharp end suffer the most. But it doesn’t have to be this way. People in more equal societies live longer, are healthier, happier, have better educational outcomes, trust more, and are safer. We know that inequality is not inevitable, and left unaddressed it affects the whole of society.
Solution
We will continue our multidisciplinary approach to dismantling structural inequalities. This includes: conducting research and campaigns on issues that affect inequality e.g. extreme wealth & taxation; securing adoption of the Socio-Economic Duty by public bodies; connecting seldom heard voices to policy makers; supporting companies, local groups, and activists to take action & widening our educational work. We will take effective action at individual, community, business and government levels.
