Our school for girls in Brasilia provides care and education for young girls aged 11 upwards from extreme poverty throughout Brazil. Without access to education, the girls are exposed to neglect, abuse and face early marriage and unending deprivation. We have 881 girls in our care & learning at our Sisters of Mary school, Brasilia, but our textbooks are insufficient & out-dated. We need new text books to support their learning & language skills & get them ready for the jobs available locally.

Our teachers have secured a 40% discount on the purchase of books for grades 7-9. We will use the funds raised to purchase new text books, reference books, language dictionaries and reading books. Access to updated books is a dream for the girls and it will help them learn their subjects, develop and practice their skills and build confidence. When they leave school fully qualified, they will be able to find local employment and build the independent lives they deserve.
