Hospices can initially be scary places for patients and their families. Here at Ardgowan, we want to do everything we can to make them homely and welcoming spaces. Our existing patient chairs are worn-out and uncomfortable which may discourage patients from getting out of bed and moving more. Our family room is currently a cold characterless space, lacking storage with a basic slide out chair which is not the most comfortable to sleep on and does not provide the solace families members need.

We want to provide pressure relieving rise recliner chairs that are easy to move, cleanable and offer comfort and relief to patients. Within the family room we want to install a built-in murphy bed with storage and seating which we will redecorate, update the kitchen and accessories to create a welcoming and soothing homely atmosphere where families can find support, solace, connection and privacy when they need it most.
