Each year we travel c.100,000 miles across Gloucestershire providing our hospice care for patients at end of life in their own homes. This year we’re caring for even more patients and will travel even more miles so must raise even more money. £9,000 , will pay for travel to care for 51 patients.

“Without Longfield travelling to our home Lisa would have passed away amongst strangers. I remember her last hospital appointment, it was a huge ordeal getting her there. The nurses said how are you going to care for Lisa on your own? You need help”. Longfield cares for patients at end of life, like Lisa, across 400 square miles of Gloucestershire. And we want to increase our hospice care because each year around 1271 people in the county are still not having their end of life needs met.

"My GP referred us to Longfield and amazingly they said 'we’ll start tonight.’ It was wonderful. And the best thing was they came to us. I didn’t realise they would come at the weekends too but they did. They came three times a day. They made me feel like they were always there, always ready to come, it helped me feel less isolated and alone" "This is what makes Longfield's care at end of life so essential, where a loved one can be allowed to pass away as they would want at home".
