LandAid is the property industry charity committed to ending youth homelessness. We are appealing to our supporters to help us provide funds to support young people at risk of street homelessness to access supported accommodation this winter.
As the cost of living crises continues, young vulnerable people are struggling to cover the costs of a tenancy alongside paying for the essentials like heating and food. 90% of low-income households on Universal Credit are going without essentials and young people are hit the hardest as they qualify for the lowest allowance of support.
LandAid delivers three grants programme to tackle youth homelessness, meeting a range of accommodation needs for young people at different stages of their journey out of homelessness. For young people at risk of street homelessness this winter, it's vital that they are provided with somewhere that is safe and secure, for a short period of time, while they are assessed, supported and referred to a longer term housing solution.
