An estimated 4 million people in the UK have significant eating disorders. For those affected, and their families, normal life can be impossible. Anorexia has the highest mortality rate of mental health illnesses. The NHS must focus on the worst cases, so leave many without help. Understanding and awareness in society, though increasing, remain low. Fear drives the lack of education while eating disorders affect all ages, and are appearing in more younger children. It’s a hidden epidemic.

'Now I know there is life beyond food!' tastelife offers an 8-session, accredited community course - a unique, safe experience for all affected by eating disorders, built around an educational toolkit for recovery, either onsite or online - with participants reporting 86% improvement in their recovery journey. We link with statutory services, train organisations, and offer prevention resources for schools and youth groups. Eating disorders must be forced to loosen their grip.
