LAT is based in Islington where a third of children live in an income-deprived household. The cost of living crisis has exacerbated this; more families face financial hardship and the gaps between the poorest children and their better off peers grows wider. We’ve seen demand increase for our free ticketing scheme Puppets For All; since the start of this year 150 more families have signed up. We need more funding to be able to offer free access to the increasing number of children who need it.

We will increase the number of free tickets we give to families who wouldn’t be able to take their children to see live performance otherwise. We will also offer more free places on workshops, where children and families get creative; designing, making and performing with their own puppets, facilitated by our expert team. This will ensure there are opportunities for children to access enriching artistic experiences, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
