Artichoke makes extraordinary art accessible to all with free events across the UK. In our London home, more than half of local children live in a low-income family. Help us support disadvantaged young people to discover their creativity and access the wide-reaching benefits of the arts.

Taking part in the arts supports young people’s education, wellbeing and employability. However, not all young people have access to the arts. Children from low-income families are three times less likely to engage in extracurricular arts activities. Artichoke works all over the UK producing free art events, but our home is in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, where 56% of children live in a low-income family. This is the highest level of child poverty in the UK.

We are raising money to fund the second year of the Artichoke Summer School in Tower Hamlets in 2024. With your support, we will engage local children and young people from low-income families in a free programme of creative workshops led by local artists. Your support will enable young Londoners from disadvantaged backgrounds to learn about arts & culture and explore their creativity through different artistic mediums, including mural painting, circus and collage.
