Homelessness affects over 1000 people in Wiltshire every year. Being homeless is isolating and often results in poverty, poor mental health and substance abuse. A subsequent lack of access to local services means people struggle to improve their situation without help. In the current cost of living crisis homelessness is rising and there are few services available to support people who need help.

Doorway offers practical support by providing hot food, showers, clean clothes, regular activities and company. It improves access to local services by making direct referrals to housing, health, addiction and other professionals. When people experiencing homelessness are offered a safe, non-judgemental and empowering environment they are able to build themselves a better life.
