Our Public House is a new theatre production, exploring England today, co-created with communities through speech-writing workshops. In 2024, we’ll develop the script in community workshops across the country, exploring how we represent local voices and ensure participation in our 2025 touring show.

Solution
We will facilitate workshops with community groups & professional actors to create a theatrical production incorporating the voices of participants from across England. In ‘23 we ran speechmaking workshops in 8 locations and supported participants in writing and making speeches, which will inform the writing of a draft script. In ‘24 we will return to the 8 locations to explore & hone the draft play with them. Participants will have their voices amplified & be co-creators in a new production.
