MAP is responding to the current emergency in Gaza. Gaza's children deeply feel the consequences of Israeli bombardment. At the time of writing, a staggering 3,324 children have been killed in Gaza since October 7th and 940 children have been reported as missing, potentially trapped or deceased beneath the debris, awaiting rescue or recovery.

Situation
At the time of writing on 2nd November, a staggering 3,324 Palestinian children have been killed in Gaza since October 7th. Gaza’s healthcare system is close to collapse with many unable to receive the care they need due to lack of available medicines and disposables. Lack of fuel also means that hospitals may have to stop working in the coming days and the mass displacement of over one million people means a rise of infectious diseases is inevitable.
Solution
In Gaza we are proud to be one of the remaining functioning INGOs. Our team is persisting in their efforts to procure essential supplies locally, despite the immense challenges they are facing. In Egypt, we are setting up operations to procure much needed medicines and disposables to enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing. The situation children in Gaza are faced with is fast-moving, our response was correct at the time of writing. Due to the fast-paced nature of the circumstances, our response may be subject to change.
