Despite the high levels of violence they face, (young) women we work with often lack trust in services. They worry they'll be judged or blamed, are too ashamed or unaware of their rights: and therefore don’t access support. This is often based on past experiences. Services must therefore instil trust, be trauma – informed, use appropriate language and reflect specialist (peer based) knowledge. Awareness of abuse and support available also makes women and girls more likely to seek support.

Our 1 to 1 personalized, highly specialist support helps (young) women overcome the impact of violence on their health, seek justice and (re) build support networks. We also offer safe spaces, food and drink, peer support incl. through outreach services. We train other professionals to recognize signs of abuse and ensure a positive response when seeking help. Our school workshops promote healthy relationships, consent, and abuse awareness based on insights from girls and young women.
