A year of inclusive events and projects for disabled people, their families and Social Care workers. We will have fun, make memories, learn, celebrate and gain new skills. Each event will be specially designed to provide meaningful activities, positive experiences and socialising.

Situation
People with disabilities lack truly accessible opportunities for socialising, learning and fully taking part in society in a meaningful way. Workers in the Social Care sector are often undervalued and their skills and dedication are not always sufficiently celebrated. People with disabilities are rarely seen in the media and public life and their capabilities and potential are underestimated.
Solution
We will host a year of special activities with disabled people and Carers at its heart. Events will provide opportunities to gain practical and social skills, e.g. clients will be supported to help run community events. A Ball/Awards evening will celebrate the talents and achievements of clients and Carers, profiling Social Care as a fantastic career. Disabled people will be truly seen as we engage with the media and our local community. Everyone will be welcome, seen, included and celebrated.
