NF2 is a genetic tumour disposition syndrome characterised by the development of central and peripheral nervous system tumours incl. schwannomas, meningiomas & ependymomas. Due to their multiplicity/anatomical location adjacent to highly eloquent structures, these tumours are usually managed conservatively with treatments of surgery/radiosurgery/chemotherapy . There is a significant unmet need of treatment options so patients can live their full lives.

In collaboration with the University of Manchester, we are supporting a number of research projects into NF2 tumours to find new & better treatment options, The outcome will extend quality of life and provide life extension. The work will contribute to Manchester’s existing world-leading NF2 tumour research programme. .The obvious benefits gained by patients are tumour control and prevention of intervention methods
