Home-Start Telford & Wrekin is committed to supporting families with young children, recognising the critical role that a child's earliest years play in their overall well-being. Unfortunately, many families are facing increased challenges due to the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to navigate the challenges that come with the current economic climate and ongoing post-pandemic issues. These issues can be particularly difficult for vulnerable parents, who may be reaching breaking point. Unfortunately, children's wellbeing is being negatively impacted by these challenges, and without support these issues can continue to escalate and compromise children's development, health, and future outcomes.

Home-Start Telford & Wrekin provides early intervention support to families through an intensive 1:1 support package that is tailored to meet their individual needs. Our trained volunteers deliver responsive support on a weekly basis, providing emotional and practical assistance. Our family groups promote children's social, emotional, and physical development. Additionally, we offer a 10-week mental health course called ‘Something More’ that is designed to improve mental well-being.
