Our mission is to break the cycle of youth homelessness in Hertfordshire. However, the cost-of-living crisis is having a serious impact on the lives of the vulnerable young people facing homelessness in our county. We need your support more than ever so that we can continue to support them.

    Situation

Over the past year, the cost-of-living crisis has had a detrimental effect on young people. They are not only struggling financially but for many, their mental health has also been affected. 70% of the young people we work with have reported a mental health need and our 18+ Advice Line has experienced a 50% increase in calls, and we expect this to continue to grow. These issues are in addition to the problems young people and their families are facing regarding homelessness.

    Solution

Our mission is to break the cycle of youth homelessness in Hertfordshire. Last year we supported 9,581 people to improve their lives through education, advice and support. Our services focus on three priority areas: prevention & early intervention, crisis intervention and independent living support. Each area provides specialist, focused help with the aim of preventing youth homelessness.
