In our diverse and multicultural borough, we have identified several women-led groups that are providing vital support for women in the community. However, these groups are struggling to find spaces and resources to continue operating and experience difficulties in coping with growing numbers and increasing/changing needs. Furthermore, these groups often work in silos and do not have the opportunity to connect with each other, a missed opportunity for collaboration and information sharing.

HWC has established itself as a trusted and respected organisation within the borough. We have created a safe and inclusive space for women, while building a long-standing relationship with the community. We have evidence of the positive results of women working together and supporting each other; therefore, we want to transfer this knowledge and support these groups to make sure they are properly sourced and connected to create a strong network of women who know and can assert their rights.
