Jordan has over 760 thousand refugees. Many are not permitted to work so they are struggling to feed their families, unable to afford medical care or to pay for schooling, their lives are desperate. Our refugee centres offer humanitarian aid, psycho-social support, education, medical care and hope.
Over 760K refugees reside in Jordan. Many live in absolute poverty and have endured these humiliating conditions for nearly a decade. We offer humanitarian aid, medical care, schooling and training and psycho-social support to thousands of families - especially for the women and girls. We aim to meet their needs now and to equip them with the skills for whatever future they choose. We enable refugees to be integrated into the local community with a view to building lasting peace in the region.
We operate a network of Olive Tree Centres to offer support to the refugees. Providing access to food, medical care, trauma support, schooling for the children and training and psycho-social support for the adults. We aim to equip them with skills that they can utilise now and in the future. “Refugees literally arrive with nothing, just their clothes, and we try and give them everything they need. We have seen more refugees from Sudan and Ukraine too.” Said a centre leader.
