People from marginalised groups face extremely high barriers to having their human rights upheld, and to accessing justice when their human rights are violated. Barriers to justice include complex laws, regulations, policies and complaints/accountability systems; lack of accessible information available in appropriate formats and languages; lack of access to trauma-informed advisors; and the re-traumatising effect of repeatedly running up against those barriers.

We provide free, specialist, confidential legal advice and representation to people from marginalised groups including survivors of gender-based violence, care-experienced children, disabled people, refugees, LGBTQ+ people and survivors of trafficking and exploitation. We work with community and grassroots partners to create know-your-rights information and accessible toolkits. We are a trauma-informed team who collaborate closely with specialist organisations to provide person-centred support.
