We are raising much needed funds for Dalgarno Trust's Foodbank, which is open every Thursday at our community centre and is for those in the local community who may be struggling to buy food.

Situation
Our food bank has seen an increase in people needing food parcels, and with the cost of living crisis grows the need only increases. Our food bank provides a lifeline to families in our community, but we need funds to continue. Dalgarno Trust community centre is at the heart of our community, and is a safe space where we bring individuals of all ages from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds together to fulfil their potential and break the cycle of poverty, ill-health and deprivation.
Solution
With the money raised through the Big Give Christmas Challenge we will be able to top up the supermarket surplus donations we receive with the staples people require, such as pasta, tea and toothpaste. We will also be able to fund the other costs of running our foodbank, such as van hire and volunteers expenses. We will also be able to fund cooking healthy hot meals for the children attending our holiday camps.
