Emmaus Oxford provides accommodation, employment and support to 28 homeless men and women. We call the people we support our companions. We want to create a garden where companions can find a therapeutic space, where they can put down roots, grow plants as well as confidence.

Homeless people will have faced many challenges before coming to live at Emmaus Oxford. They may be experiencing trauma, poor mental health, reduced confidence and low self esteem. Alongside providing accommodation and employment, Emmaus focuses on restoring a person's health and wellbeing.

This garden will provide a calm, therapeutic space in a supportive environment where a person can connect with nature and really benefit from the healing power of the garden.
