Many children and families don’t have the opportunity to see theatre or take part in creative activities that support play, speech, and language development - especially those from income deprived households – due to barriers such as cost, transport and being unsure of a welcome. Early years settings are seeking creative activities to support child development but often can’t travel far to take children on trips and do not have the budgets to pay for activities and transport.

We will take our early years production Igloo direct to children’s centres and community venues, reaching children who would not normally have access to theatre. Performances will be offered for free to children’s centres and nurseries. The show will be followed by creative activities to support sensory play, speech and language. We’ll support early years practitioners to learn creative skills to support child development. Resources will help families continue with creative play at home.
