A global lack of quality, secondary level education provision for refugees. Current figures show only 34% of the world’s refugee youth have access to secondary level education, the figure is 3% in some areas. This lack of provision means the majority of displaced youth are unable to fulfil their potential and pursue future pathways into work, training and education, in order to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the long-term development of their community.

We will deliver two programmes, the Amala High School Diploma for displaced youth and shorter Changemaker Courses. Both programmes offer high quality secondary level learning designed by and for refugee youth, aimed at supporting refugees to tackle challenges/barriers that they face in everyday lives, as well as forging pathways to improve livelihoods and breaking the cycle of poverty. We will deliver these via our two local learning centres (Jordan & Kenya) and via local partnerships.
